Ideas for a fund raiser?

I want to go on a volunteer trip this summer, but it will cost 2,000 dollars because its in Nepal. I have some plans for raising money to go on the volunteer trip but I don't think it will be enough since my parents are refusing to pay for any part of it. I really want to go but I only have about a quarter of the cost right now. any suggestions?
