Fatigue, headaches, and ear inflammation?

over the last month or so i have been having headaches which tend to start at the back of my head/neck area, i've been feeling lightheaded and dizzy, and every now and again i'll feel like my head will sputter...also i'll have times where my eyes will get heavy and everything around me will dim for a second...i'll sleep for roughly 7 hours but still feel drained the next day(i haven't slept well for a month and a half before this week, roughly 4 hours a night)...when i went to the doctor he didn't do any blood work but did a balance test and said i have inner ear inflammation...could he have missed something? is there something more serious going on that i should be concerned about?
