Which eclipse is better?

Theres a 2001 eclipse spyder gs auto for sale with 40k miles on it for $8k. the only problem is, is that side "wall" of the back seat is all scratched. is this fixable? Another is a 2006 eclipse gs with 27k miles on it. automatic with the sun and sound package for $11k but is over 2 hours from me. I saw and drove the 01 spyder and ran great but I did not like the scratched interior and it needs new tires. The scratches were pretty deep into the plastic. Which car would be the best? I'm on a budget and do not want to spend a whole lot of money. The 06 is also on factory warranty which doesnt really matter because I dont have a mitsubishi dealership anywhere close to me. Any advice?
